To be Rock

Always been in trouble two feet in, way too far over the line to ever come back, yeah, I was too far gone my train was never on the track makin life my own no matter if I was right or wrong, I wasn’t just playin, I was livin to be Rock -n- Roll.

Livin hard and as fast as I could all the pills and raisin Hell never expecting to make it to 25 it was my religion live it fast, play it lose and loud die young, and leave a hard rockin corpse can’t believe I’m gonna be 57 never thought I’d make it out alive and every day I’m amazed I made it this far livin to die young, I wasn’t just playin, I was livin to be Rock -n- Roll.

Rollin up on 57, ears ringin and you can bet I feel every year but I aint bitchin no you’ll never hear me cry cause I loved every minute, the shape I’m in is a memory and testament I’m just a Rocker, a guitar, three chords, and some spells is all I need and I bet I finish this life how I lived, guitar screamin and singin my songs leadin people to a new religion and when I’m dead know I won’t truly be gone and when you hear one of my songs on the line just remember, I wasn’t just playin, I was livin to be Rock -n- Roll.
